Vitamin B12 IM Injections

$15/ Injection

Product

Methylcobalamin is the name for the active form of Vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential (it is required for the body to work properly) water-soluble vitamin commonly found in foods such as fish, meat eggs, and dairy products. Deficiency in vitamin B12 may cause anemia, fatigue, muscle weakness, intestinal problems, nerve damage, and mood disturbances. Oral Vitamin B12 may not provide adequate supplementation due to variations in metabolism and poor absorption.

Vitamin B12, when injected, can increase energy, decrease inflammation, improve metabolism, and support sleep, mood, and memory.

Procedures

Injected into a muscle– usually the Deltoid or flank area of the lower back.

Maintenance

Methylcobalamin can be injected one to three times per week. This should be discussed with the provider.
